Review of the film The Call of the ancestors - The Will to live

The biography of the American writer Jack London is perhaps an excellent example of how a person can be realized despite difficulties. Starting over and over, repeatedly from scratch, he achieved success and recognition - so did his heroes. One of the classic works of the author was the novel "Call of the ancestors" The Call of the Wild", dedicated to the sled dog Baku. Its next film adaptation, embodied by director Chris Sanders, was presented in Ukraine by UkraineFilmDistribution at a pre-premiere party at the CinemaCity cinema in Kiev, and one of its guests was Alexander Ignatusha, a dubbing actor and also a performer of a number of roles in Ukrainian cinema; it was he who "gave" his voice to the hero of Harrison Ford - gold diggers John Thornton.

So, the dog Buck leads his carefree life at Judge Miller's estate, where he enjoys the comfort and love of others. However, he is kidnapped and falls into a whirlpool of adventures - delivers mail, gets to a bad owner, and then gets John Thornton, who respects his ward. However , the call of the ancestors is strong and irresistible ....

The film begins as a comedy, but after a few minutes it becomes clear that you are looking at a serious military drama with moments of comedy in the right places. In my opinion, there has never been a film (at least I don't remember such a one) that would so skillfully balance between comedy and tragedy. If we take into account the dark theme of the film, yes, it is very bright, because we see the events from the point of view of a young man.

In general, the tape did not try to raise the dramatic degree that distinguishes the novel itself. Yes, a lot of sharp corners are "cut off", the story itself tends to the traditional simplification now. However, without focusing on the reliability of the material, the authors decided to rely on the visual component - so this is the embodiment of the "classical" understanding of the history of gold seekers in the Yukon. Bright colors, frame dynamics - all this is here and is at the highest level of embodiment - recall at least the pictures of a destructive avalanche or the amazing northern lights; the same can be said about the sound design.

The actors' game. Yes, this tape is also mostly "sharpened" by Harrison Ford and his hero gold digger John Thornton, it is he who tells the story of the dog. At the same time, the cast of the episodes was selected perfectly, one of them starred Omar Si.

As a conclusion. The new film adaptation of "The Call of the Ancestors" is not a reconstruction of the novel, but life on the Yukon of those times - but it is the popular style of embodiment that will interest a wide range of viewers, connoisseurs of adventure cinema. There are Crazy Time game simulators. They take fresh game results from the crazy time tracker and try to simulate the game. Some elements of the game have been observed over many spins to approximate odds that may not be immediately apparent. You can either simulate a given number of spins, or define an initial bankroll and let the simulator play until you deplete that bankroll. But a simulation will always differ from a real game, so don't take their results as true.
